You’re Not Alone in the Battle.

Fear can feel like a tidal wave—crashing over your peace, stealing your joy, and leaving you feeling paralyzed. If you’re here, chances are you’ve been walking through a season of worry, doubt, or uncertainty. Maybe it’s fear about your health, your finances, your future, or simply the weight of the unknown. First, hear this: you are not alone. And more importantly, fear is not your final chapter.

Fear is a Liar, But Faith is a Fighter.

Fear is not from God. In fact, 2 Timothy 1:7 reminds us, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” Fear whispers lies that you’re not enough, that the worst will happen, that God has forgotten you. But faith? Faith says, “Even if… I will trust.”

The enemy uses fear to distract you from your purpose. But God wants to build your courage through your circumstances. Fear may come knocking, but it doesn’t have to be the voice you answer.

Scripture-Powered Courage

Here are a few truths from Scripture to declare when fear rises:

  • Isaiah 41:10“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you.”
  • Psalm 56:3“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.”
  • Luke 1:74  –  We have been rescued from our enemies clutches, to serve Him without fear in holiness and righteousness.”
  • John 14:27“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
  • Romans 8:15“The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship.”

Write these verses down. Post them on your mirror. Speak them over your day.

Steps to Live Faith-First, Not Fear-First

1.Invite Support: You don’t have to fight fear alone. Surround yourself with faith-filled voices.

2.Name the Fear: What are you afraid of? Name it, write it down, rebuke it in Jesus’ name, bring it into the light and strike it with your pen to symbolise breaking its hold on you.

3.Pray Honestly: You don’t have to pray perfect prayers. God honors honest, messy and real conversation. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you overcome the fear.

4.Saturate in God’s Truth: Replace fear-filled thoughts with faith-filled promises from God’s Word.

5.Speak Life: Declare truth out loud. Your words have power. When fear whispers, speak back with Scripture.

Testimony

Fear can creep into your life and rob you of opportunities to live as God planned for you. It looks like avoiding many things, turning down opportunities alot even when you have the ability and more. When i was very young, fear entered my life through bullies. It literally happened once and was over something so small that others laugh when i tell them about it. The enemy uses the slightest opportunity and vulnerability to let fear come in. This fear can live with you for many years without you connecting the dots. While i never forget the moment i was bullied, i never i realised that this brief experience had changed my life’s trajectory until God revealed the connection.

As i sought a closer relationship with God, He faithfully removed the garment of fear and traded it with boldness and courage. I became strong in the Lord and can do all the things i could not do because of fear, through Christ who strengthens me. He is faithful to save you too when you seek Him.

Seeking looked like having a daily christian morning routine where i read the word of God and prayed daily.
