Meet Maureen Kangere Muwa

Maureen Kangere Muwa is an experienced development professional and certified life coach with a strong focus on women’s empowerment, trauma healing, and safeguarding. She has led transformative initiatives across Africa, delivering women’s empowerment training, trauma-informed coaching, wellness facilitation, and advocacy for gender equality. Maureen leads with care, empathy, encouragement and collaboration. Maureen is the Founder and CEO of Anchored Faith LLC, a digital faith brand offering faith based personal development resources, coaching and counselling (relationships, pre marital for women and personal). Her career spans roles such as Safeguarding & Communications Lead where she directed multi-country safeguarding efforts and led the development first safeguarding policy for an Africa based international organisation. She has also served as Senior Programme Officer and worked with national, regional and international organisations where she enhanced the capacity of activists in nine African countries, led project on women’s empowerment and leadership and led impactful digital campaigns on the prevention of gender-based violence using SASA! behavioural approach. Maureen holds a Dachelor’s Degree in development studies, a Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management, and is pursuing an MA in Human Rights. She is also certified in guidance and counselling and is a life learner (always pursuing short course for personal growth). Maureen has been called to serve the nations in the areas of prevention of gender based violence, building and nurturing safeguarding cultures in institutions and corporations and tending hearts that need healing through counselling and coaching. Passionate about mental health and collective care, Maureen has authored a book on miscarriage and motherhood and continues to champion wellness and empowerment through social media and training programs.  Above all, Maureen is servant of God and lives in pursuit of a deeper relationship and witnessing Christ in family life and in the nations.
